    BABYS LOVE BEARS LIKE ME!

honestly, don’t buy her baby food, it’ll be a huge waste. babies don’t eat jarred food until 5 or 6 months, and what if she’s allergic to things you buy her? if you really want to help, you can never have enough diapers. buy her size 3’s because she’ll go through the smaller sizes so fast.

If your gonna get clothes, get lots of onesies and sleepers! When I had my first child, I bought tons of really cute three piece outfits, and he didn’t wear half of them because it is so much easier to put them in sleepers and onesies.

Teething rings are great, but babies love to naw on stuffed animals. The softer, the better!

Baby blankets, baby towels, (normal towels work just fine) crib liners.

Do you have an Other Mother’s where you live?? If you do, they have a $0.25 sale once a month. You can find baby clothes, blankets, shoes, socks, ect, most in really great condition.

Wouldn’t worry about baby shoes because most babies don’t wear them…. But socks, just to keep their little feet warm. :)

I hope this helps a little. You are off to a really great start! You Aunt is lucky to have you in her life.

I love your idea, I think you have some good things!
How about adding those little “onesies” I think they’re called, I heard babies go through those like crazy & they’re pretty inexpensive. Get some of those soothing sound CD’s too. Diapers. Pacifiers, bottles, baby brushes. Little shoes & socks (they’re just so cute!) Get a huge diaper bag & put all your stuff in it, that’d be cool.

I’d also make a personal item, you can go to cafepress.com & get a baby outfit with a cute saying on it, or Snapfish or other photo websites & upload a photo or write out their names & have it printed on a baby top.

Photographs are great, can you afford a camera for her? If not, how about small baby albumbs, they have all kinds of sizes & kinds at places like Michael’s.

How about little things for mommy too, a pair of slippers, shower gels (not bath gels cuz she’ll have no time for baths) lotions, etc.

    Have fun!

-diaper (swaddlers by pampers are the best)
    -extra bottles
    teething gel or the tablets
    fingerbrush w/infants tooth &gum cleaner
-wipes (buy in bulk and not the scented ones)
    -onesies are a must
-bath products (lavender helps sooth baby to sleep)
    -milicon (for gas)
-Infants Tylenol (its great for when they have to go get shots)
-small blankets (you can never have too many)

I hope some of these ideas help you!

I was given some beautiful baby wash and baby bath towel.
I have to say though, probably the most helpful present was a bunch of ready prepared meals so I when things were out of control, I could go to the freezer and have dinner ready in a flash!

get some clothes that are the next sizes up (consider what the weather will be when the child is that age too) seriously.. some of her co-workers will probably get her some newborn clothes as well as the other big gifts she is recieving.. I had LOTS of 0-3 month clothes- some of which never got worn.. but I had to buy some of the next sizes up.

crib sheets.. I swear, some nites I changed the sheets 3-4 times.. you can go thru the sheets quickly sometimes.

swaddling blankets.. I had one for my baby.. she loved it for the first 3-4 months.

baby-proofing items are not needed until the baby is actually crawling.

When baby is born.. come over and help your aunt.. even just to baby sit for an hour so your aunt can soak in the tub would be a BIG help! Or offering to help with laundry or some cleaning (she likely wont be allowed to lift heavy objects at first.. so even just to carry the laundry baskets for her is a help)
